It brings along a lot of doubts over knowledge of reality. For that matter - reality is also something that is pretty abstract and can be defined based on how one perceives it - in other words - based on what the impression of the word is on one's mind !! Humans, or homo sapiens sapiens are inherently keen observers and would not miss on impression over intellect, feelings, conscience, etc. Very hard to see a world without impressions - it seems to be against the idea of humans.
